Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary General Manager to lead a retail concept that celebrates creative talent. The role involves overseeing daily operations, driving business growth, and fostering partnerships with artists and creators. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the arts, strong retail management experience, and the ability to blend creativity with commercial success.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Operations Management
- Oversee the end-to-end operations of the retail store, ensuring efficiency and excellence in customer experience.
- Develop and implement operational processes, inventory controls, and store layouts to optimize performance.
- Monitor sales targets and budgets, and provide regular performance reports to stakeholders.
Artist and Partner Relations
- Build and nurture relationships with local artists, designers, and creators to source unique, high-quality products.
- Develop fair and transparent agreements with partners, ensuring mutual benefits and alignment with the store's creative ethos.
- Curate product offerings to reflect local creativity while meeting customer preferences and market trends.
Marketing and Brand Development
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute campaigns that promote the store’s unique identity.
- Organize events, exhibitions, and workshops to engage the local community and elevate the profile of partner artists.
- Leverage social media and digital platforms to drive store traffic and enhance brand visibility.
Customer Experience
- Create a welcoming and inspiring in-store environment that reflects the creative vision of the brand.
- Train and mentor staff to deliver exceptional customer service and product knowledge.
- Gather and analyze customer feedback to continuously improve offerings and services.
Team Leadership and Development
- Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team of retail associates and support staff.
- Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and accountability within the team.
- Set performance goals, conduct regular evaluations, and provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities.
Financial Management
- Manage store budgets, control expenses, and ensure financial objectives are met.
- Oversee pricing strategies, profit margins, and inventory turnover to maximize revenue.
- Identify new revenue streams and partnership opportunities to enhance profitability.
Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, retail management, marketing, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
- Experience: Minimum of 5–8 years in retail management, with experience in creative or concept-driven stores being an advantage.
- English is a must/Arabic nice to have
- Strong business acumen with a creative mindset.
- Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in retail technology and analytics tools.
