Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Experience as a Sales Manager in the Exhibition, Conference & Event industry
- Understanding of sales performance metrics
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite
- Related industry awareness
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- With strong speaking and written communication skills in Arabic and English
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Qatar Drivers License
Responsibilities
• Manage a portfolio of accounts
• Actively promote and sell exhibition space and sponsorship.
• Conduct a telephone sales campaign to lapsed exhibitors and new prospects.
• Conduct face-to-face sales to current exhibitors, lapsed exhibitors and new prospects.
• To source new companies in these marketplaces from the trade press and competitive events
• To actively seek out and follow through effectively on new prospects.
• Liaise with Associations and Trade Bodies.
• Selling of sponsorship and delegate passes for Conferences.
• Develop and maintain long term relationships with current customers and prospects,
understanding their business and marketing needs.
• To develop and manage the prospect database.
• To maintain contact with exhibitors and deliver a high standard of customer service.
• To support Project Managers in managing an existing sales team, providing ongoing coaching
and feedback to help them increase their performance.
• To work with other Sales Managers in identifying new opportunities for the event.
• To achieve individual and event revenue targets.
• Support the process of collecting debt.
• Maintain database.
• Agencies – sell in and maintain relationships.
• Industry Associations – maintain status as a key industry figure and work on special projects.
• Exhibition administrators – to ensure floor plan, data and bookings are accurate.
• Develop Relationships with Clients to establish new contracts.

• Develop pricing structures for event projects.
• Develop risk assessments for event projects and products to work toward commercial efforts.
• Financial planning and budgeting.
• Bid on new projects and negotiate contract terms
• Reviewing and developing operational process flows
• Analyzing data from internal systems and external sources to identify opportunities to improve
sales performance.
• Identifying and contacting potential clients to determine their needs and assess their interest in
the company’s products or services
• Ensuring that company products or services are represented accurately in advertising and
marketing materials
• Developing strategies to increase market share by identifying new opportunities in existing
markets or developing new markets
• Developing and implementing a strategic plan to achieve specific goals such as increasing
revenues or improving customer satisfaction
• Negotiating contracts and managing relationships with vendors, suppliers, partners, and other
external parties to ensure compliance with legal requirements
• Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events.
• Other scope of work may require flexibility, willingness, and ability to adapt change at any
circumstances
• Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new
products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by reviewing professional Marketing and Sales
strategies; establishing personal networks; participating in professional activities.
