Overview
Applies understanding and knowledge of information systems hardware and software to provide problem resolution, problem diagnosis and solutions in a service center environment; clearly communicate technical solutions in a user-friendly professional manner.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair various types of network and stand-alone printers, such as Color LaserJet, OfficeJet, DeskJet, and Dot-matrix from a variety of manufacturers, to include: Hewlett Packard, Lexmark, Dell, Brother, Canon, Epson, Samsung, Panasonic, Minolta, Sony, Kyocera, Sharp, Okidata, Ricoh, Xerox, IBM, and Tektronix.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and configure digital senders to send hard copy documents to e-mail or network storage.
- Troubleshoot and repair fax machines, plotters and scanners (flatbed and multi-function).
- Troubleshoot and repair ID card/badge printers.
- Troubleshoot and replace electronic components, such as SCRs, transistors, capacitors, resistors, bridge rectifiers and fuses.
- Troubleshoot and repair various types of monitors, UPS and power supplies.
- Use and maintain various equipment gauges and meters used in the troubleshooting faulty components.
- Research and order parts.
- Perform other duties and assignments as required.
Qualifications- Minimum Qualifications
- Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Hewlett-Packard and Dell certification is desirable
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a smart card
- Experience:
- Approximately 1 to 3 years related experience.
- Skills:
- Must be capable of effectively communicating technical information in English, both written and verbal.
- Must demonstrate advanced technical skills for maintenance and service for various types of printers, scanners, copiers, digital senders and plotters.
- Capable of using professional level various equipment gauges and meters
- Must be computer literate and proficient in using the latest version Microsoft Office
- Working Environment:
- Work is generally conducted in an in area with a mild exposure to extreme climatic conditions. Must comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations and published Company work rules. Work is in a very challenging environment
