Location: Doha Qatar

Job Objectives:

Generate reports and analyse our line performance as part of the Cost Control unit, control operational cost of all Line service activities, prepare Financial and Business performance reports. Assist Product & Network team with feasibility study for new tenders & equipment repositioning studies for Liner services within the existing network.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare Monthly Statement of Account (MSA) for all locations incoordination with Finance teams in agency offices and operations teams
• In coordination with Commercial and Operations teams produce volume and cost report. Prepare monthly report for actual financial performance against budget and submit to management.
• Assist Network & Product development team in tender coasting and P&Lsimulations and submit the financial workings to Corporate Finance Team (CFT) for review
• Provide support to Network & Product development team, for any financialanalysis related to asset strategy
• Prepare monthly statement of accounts for new trades and third-partyloading. Resolve discrepancies, if any, in cooperation with liner team in Dubai
• Prepare financial analysis, modelling report for sale & purchase of line equipment
• Assist company Tax Manager in providing relevant data / information for Taxation (Input & Out tax)
• Assist Manager - Commercial in container network costing and analysis for fleet optimization
• Prepare accrual statements for financial vetting of cost/revenue for Liner Business and submit the same to Finance team prior monthly closing
• In coordination with Commercial and Operations team, prepare monthly management report with full business explanations towards monthly results for company line
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Communication

Internal Communication:

• Container Shipping Dubai & Doha teams
• Finance department
• Insurance Department
• Internal Audit Team
• Shipping Agency

Purpose:

• Liaise with Container shipping Dubai & Doha teams for all kind of operational cost related queries
• Liaise with Finance departments for cost related activities to meet internal requirements.
• Liaise Insurance department for container insurance & claims accounting.
• Liaise with Milaha Internal Audit team for annual department audit
• Liaise with Shipping agency department to process agency invoices.

External Communication:

• Agency Finance team
• Port Billing Team

Purpose:

• Liaise with Agency Finance Managers to finalize Monthly Statement of Accounts.
• Coordinate with local Port billing department to resolve any disputes related to port invoices.

Education & Professional Qualification:

• Graduate in Accounts / Diploma in relevant field

Professional Experience:

• 2 - 3 years full or part liner accounting exposure (preferred with shipping industry experience)

Geographic Experience:

• Middle East / Asia experience

Computer Skills:

• Good knowledge of MS-Office (Including Power BI) and web applications

Language Skills:

• Business fluent English (verbal and writing)

Market/Industry/Functional Knowledge:

• Good knowledge of Liner / NVOCC accounting
