Responsible for construction and production activities onboard from pre-production inspectio n to completion of structural and mechanical construction of ship repair, ship building, conversion and new build projects. Construction Manager will act as subject matter expert on matters related to production and construction activities across various projects and providing expert guidance to project and production heads / teams.
- Responsible for providing technical direction / guidance to head of production departments / project managers in mechanical / construction / production activities of marine repair and construction assignments.
- Directly oversee the construction ac tivies onboard and ensure the projec t mil estones are achie ved within the construction specifications and in comp liance to classfication guidelines.
- Assist the commercial team in reviewing the tende r design & documentatio n for new projects.
- Review detailed structural drawings, calculations, hull outfit designs and liaise with class & owners with regard to various construction document approvals.Specifies work standards where not specified by the Owners.
- Prepare technica l s pecifica tion s for shipboard equipment, technical review of quotation s, technical approval of equipment, spares and materi also needed for the projects.
- Ensure that all Technical query reports, site instructions and work completion forms are submitted to owners and signed on time.
- Inspect and verify installatio ns on -board and completio n of mechanical, fabrication and hull const ruction activitiesand generate related reports.
- Integrate harmoniously various production and construction activities across various projects and set priorities and comele tion milestones.
- Ove rsee the yard manp owe r avai lability for various projects a nd coo rdia nte with project pla nners to allocate accor ding to the most optim um usag e to achieve projec t delivery dates.
- Id e nti fy and com munic ate any potential ris k involved in the project execution phase to the departments and custome rs.
- Ensures complia nce to a ll relevant safety, quality and enviro nmental management policies. p rocedures and co nt rols acro ss the divis io n in order to guarantee employee safe ty, legislative compliance and a res ponsible envi ronmenta l a ttitude.

Skills
- 8 years relevant working experience
- Naval architect / degree in mechanical or marine eng ineering/ offshore.
- Experience in the field of offshore fabricat ion projects (Jackets, Topside, Process modules , Living Quarter module.)
- Relevant working experie nce in ship repair yard or fabrication facilities with conversion and new building facilities.
- Education and knowledge in Mechanical / Electrical, or Marine Engineering is essential.
- Good know ledge and ex pe rience in di fferent process n volved in constructio n activities and related quality
- require ments.
- Sound know ledge in mechanica l constrnction activities, Certification req uirements and regulatory requirements of Marine and Offshore, process and Drilling equipment.
