As the business expands, we are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to be part of Qatar Airways Cargo’s Operations Team in Doha as a Regional Manager Cargo Compliance.

About the role
In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring staff, stakeholders, and suppliers on safety, security, dangerous goods, and compliance with QR and regulatory requirements. You will act as the key point of contact for all Cargo Compliance matters.
Also, continuously monitor, assess, and improve hazard identification as well as adherence to regulatory requirements, IATA regulations and Qatar Airways procedures for the effective and safe management of the cargo and aircraft operation.
As part of your role, your responsibilities will be inclusive of, but not limited to the following:
- Promote safety and quality culture with headquarters collaboration.
- Develop local procedures for safe operations and ensure compliance with cargo operations guidelines and safety standards.
- Monitor operations and Safety Performance Indicators (SPI), and suggest improvements.
- Conduct risk assessments and safety investigations.
- Oversee and engage with stakeholders to address compliance issues.
- Review and coordinate training programs.
- Prepare operational performance reports for management.
- Evaluate station capabilities for new operations.
- Communicate with stakeholders and authorities on compliance matters.
- Assist regional cargo teams as needed.
- Maintain documentation control and resolve findings.
- Manage performance reporting that aligned with headquarters.
- Analyze trends to prioritize key operational issues.
- Stay updated on security, safety, and cargo operations.
- Implement safety campaigns to reduce incidents.
- Investigate events and coordinate corrective actions.
Qualifications
About you
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least 7 years of job-related experience
- Excellent command of the English language and influencing capabilities
- Detail-oriented approach, good analytical skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Good knowledge of Quality Assurance
- Good knowledge of Safety, Security, and Cargo operations
- Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
