Job Objective

To play key role in Qatar Cools vision of being best in class in operating and maintaining Qatar Cool plants, ETS and PDN. Develop and implement asset management framework within Qatar cool.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Reliability and Integrity

Essential

• Identify, develop and implement reliability models and strategies to improve Qatar Cool Plant operations and Maintenance processes and programs.
• Assess the current capabilities of QC equipment/system and processes/operations in terms of their reliability, availability, maintainability and criticality.
• Carry out reliability and optimization studies, criticality analysis, failure analysis of systems/equipment to ensure high level of plant reliability.
• Development and optimization of risk-based equipment strategies and maintenance plans leveraging Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles.
• Undertake failure analysis by applying failure data analysis techniques, such as Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA), Fault tree analysis (FTA), Statistical Modelling and Statistical process control (SPC) etc.
• Perform analysis on asset and equipment performance to include asset utilization, overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), Mean Time between Failure (MTBF) and remaining useful life as guiding parameters in-order to increase reliability of assets and equipment. 
• Develop Asset Management Strategies and plans, strategic asset management plans and implement the same in line with the Qatar Cool Framework of excellence (QCFE) and ISO 55000.
• Assess, further develop and Implement Asset management framework within Qatar Cool.
• Develop Asset Management KPIs.

Desired

• Lead and facilitate the RCA.
• Organize and lead meetings/sessions for doing risk assessments/FMECA on equipment/operations. Prepare prevention action list based on failure analysis.
• Provide technical advice and assistance, and make recommendations based upon field observation and maintenance needs by conducting and facilitating engineering studies to determine the feasibility of introducing modifications to increase reliability of plant.
• Provide input to Maintenance Planner in order to improve critical asset reliability and decrease total cost of equipment ownership assuring process safety/assets integrity.
• Develop procedures and principles for process safety, monitor and audit the compliance.
• Knowledge and good understanding of Condition Monitoring techniques such as Vibration monitoring, Infrared thermal imaging oil debris analysis etc.
• Knowledge and good understanding of work execution management such as preventive maintenance, operator driven reliability, planning & scheduling, defect elimination.
• Provide inputs in developing processes related to work management and develop training and coaching relevant persons to enable delivery of new or modified processes, including the coaching and mentoring of personnel in the new processes.

Safety, Quality and Environment

• Responsible to ensure compliance to HSSE standards and requirements to make Qatar Cool a safe place to work, and accountable for all assigned which includes and not limited to design, adaption and implementation of HSSE control framework, procedures, and practices in Qatar Cool.
•  Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management procedures and controls in order to ensure safety, legislative compliance, high quality service delivery and a responsible environmental attitude and ensure that all recommendations are in line with the same.

Policies, Systems, Processes and Procedures

• Implement all relevant departmental policies, processes, procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

Reporting

• Prepare reports in a timely and accurate manner in order to meet Qatar Cool’s requirements, and the departmental requirements, policies and standards.

Skills

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or equivalent,
• Post graduate Degree(preferably in the field of Reliability Engineering) is an added advantage
• Professional certification from relevant institutions is an added advantage
• CRE or CMRP certification is an added advantage.

Experience:

• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in a similar position

Job-Specific Skills:

• Proven track record in reliability and integrity within district cooling/related organization
• Strong Knowledge in R&I tools and techniques such as RBD, OEE, FTA, RCM, FMEA,FRACAS,SPC, P-F Curves, HAZOP, HAZID etc
• Knowledge of CMMS system.
• Strong Knowledge of ISO 55000
• Strong technical design and maintenance knowledge
• Strong knowledge of reliability and integrity leading practices
• Strong computer knowledge including Reliability and maintenance software.
• Ability to initiate change related to the maintenance practices
• Fluency in English
• Ability of work and adapt within multicultural teams
