• Diagnose and repair electric vehicle systems, including battery systems, electric motors, and controllers.

• Utilize diagnostic tools to test and repair high voltage vehicle systems.

• Keep up to date with the latest electric vehicle technology and repair techniques.

• Interpret and apply information from technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.

• Ensure compliance with safety procedures when handling high voltage systems.

• Maintain records of all services and repairs performed with technical descriptions.

• Assist in the installation and maintenance of electric vehicle charging equipment.

Skills

Desired Skills -


o Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing battery systems, including state-of-charge (SOC) and state-of-health (SOH) assessments.

o Ability to use specialized tools to test battery performance, identify cell imbalances, and detect thermal issues.

o Skills in diagnosing issues with electric motors, such as motor winding faults, insulation failures, and bearing problems.

o Experience with using oscilloscopes and other diagnostic equipment to analyze motor performance.

o Expertise in safely diagnosing and repairing high voltage systems, including inverters, converters, and charging systems.

o Knowledge of high voltage safety protocols and the ability to use high voltage diagnostic tools.

o Ability to diagnose and repair power electronics components, such as inverters, DC-DC converters, and onboard chargers.

o Proficiency in using diagnostic software to interpret fault codes and analyze system performance.

o Skills in diagnosing and repairing thermal management systems, including cooling systems for batteries and power electronics.

o Ability to use thermal imaging tools and other diagnostic equipment to detect and resolve thermal issues.

o Expertise in diagnosing and repairing charging systems, including onboard chargers and external charging stations.

o Knowledge of different charging standards (e.g., CHAdeMO, CCS, Supercharger) and the ability to troubleshoot charging issues.

o Proficiency in diagnosing software and firmware issues, including updating and reprogramming vehicle control units.

o Ability to use diagnostic software to perform system updates and resolve software-related faults.

o Skills in diagnosing and repairing general electrical issues, including wiring harnesses, connectors, and sensors.

o Proficiency in using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic tools to test electrical circuits.



Required Qualifications -


• Diploma in Motor vehicle engineering or similar equivalent to minimum IVQ / NVQ level 3 certification in.

• Certification in (EV)electric vehicle maintenance, diagnostics and repair.

• High Voltage Safety Training: Specialized training in handling high voltage systems.

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with full electric vehicles.

• Strong understanding of electric vehicle components and charging infrastructure.

• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software for electric vehicles.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Good communication capabilities in English language.
