A. Perform accurate and timely repairs according to the standards stated in the manufacturers’ manuals and check lists and normal working practices.
B. Must be clocked onto a Job Card throughout the working hours.
C. As soon as work required has been completed must report to Workshop Controller to clock off existing Job Card and request new Job Card (except at end of shift).
D. Endeavour to complete all tasks within the time required and report to Supervisor if time likely to overrun.
E. Ensure that safety regulations are well maintained. Report any unsafe situation to supervision immediately upon detection.
F. Keep all tools and equipment of the workshop in good condition and ensure they are maintained in line with manufacturer’s recommendations at all times. Report any problems to supervision. Return them to the appropriate location when relevant task completed.
G. Keep the workshop clean and tidy at all times.
H Perform other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor
I Repairs panels by welding on new sections.
J Straighten damaged cars and their components using mechanical and hydraulic equipment.
K Handle repairing work that involves dealing with metal corrosion of the vehicle frame.
L Fixing any metal corrosion and other repairs on the car’s body.
Skills
- Knowledge of different tools like wrenches, welding equipment, hand tools, metal cutting guns, etc. and their usage.
- A knowledgeable individual who knows how to repair and fix the doors, bumpers, and other body parts.
- Must be able to fix and attach loosely hanging body parts, like the doors, bumpers, etc.
- Must demonstrate proficiency in spot welding, tungsten arc welding, and other welding methods.
