As the business expands, we are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to join our Doha-based Qatar Airways Cargo Global Sales team as a Global Sales and Operations Analyst.

In this role, you will be responsible for the analysis and reporting of commercial, operational and financial performances of QR Cargo: Global Accounts, Pharma, Fresh, Live, Human Remains, Courier, Express, Mail, Valuables and Vulnerables product portfolios including any other assigned product lines.

You will monitor, steer and facilitate global sales and cargo special product performances at or above targets and industry standards.

As part of your daily responsibilities, you will also:

  • Identify bottlenecks in big data and processes to create innovative solutions in order to help improve business practices and overall performance. These areas include but are not limited to operational elements, such as flown as planned and on-time performance metrics as well as software and hardware management in relation to electronic data interchange (as per business needs).
  • Monitor deviations from standard processes as defined in the CSM/GOM and agreed SLAs per business necessity in order to maintain coherency.
  • Work in conjunction with line managers, product development managers and Q-Talent development teams to document and continuously update all commercial/operational policies and procedures with regards to handling of the designated products portfolio.
  • Coordinate capacity and allocation processes amongst the hub's operational and revenue management teams to ensure operational efficiency and the minimizing of transit delays to support business continuity.
  • Assist with ad-hoc cargo special product capacity requests, structural system mapping forms and to coordinate the repair of offloaded shipments per business requirements, in order to ensure service consistency and coherency.
  • Produce operational service performance reporting to cargo outstations to ensure compliance stability.
  • Engage in and support digitalization and automation initiatives from a coordination standpoint. This includes creation of training/development materials to support cargo outstations.

Qualifications

About You

We are looking for a professional with the following skills and experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience OR Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with 3 years of job-related experience
  • Hands-on experience within the Sales, Operational and Technical environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of the airline cargo value chain
  • Strong data analysis skills and experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau and PowerBi
  • Industry trainings and qualifications (e.g. IATA) is an advantage
  • Experience working in a similar role in a Cargo Airline or Freight Forwarder environment would be preferred
