ABOUT THE ROLE
Provides innovative and modern architectural approach, in alignment with Organizations technical vision, goals and standards. Activities involve creating technical architecture blueprints, defining standards for design and development, review requirements and identify Non-functional requirements and ensure all architecture decisions are aligned towards meeting the technical and business objectives of the product/application.
RESPONSIBILITES
- Collaborate with product teams to understand functional and non-functional requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Participate in design and architecture reviews to ensure that proposed solutions meet the requirements and align with the overall architecture.
- Collaborate with Solution Architects from other LOBs to identify synergies in solutions and to adopt and standardize common tools and technologies across organization
- Contribute to the development of architecture governance structures, methodologies and compliance activities of the organization
- Plan and execute proof of concepts to demonstrate feasibility of idea, complex solutions and cutting-edge technologies.
- Responsible for ensuring that all application Non-Functional Requirements are met, ensure thorough testing of NFRs and ensure corrective / preventive actions
- Ensure that products/projects are adhering to the relevant technical strategies, policies, standards and practices.
- Ensure that recommended technical architecture is manageable, maintainable, scalable, resilient, sustainable, cost effective whilst addressing business requirements
- Lead root cause analysis of reported critical incidents in operational production systems and recommend/ ensure implementation of effective preventive actions to avoid repetition
- Partner with DevOps team to ensure seamless deployment and maintenance of application.
- Find opportunities to innovate using technology advancements, to the benefit of the product
- Share best practices and knowledge with engineers to promote continuous learning and improvement.
- Define and implement technical standards, best practices, and patterns for application development.
- Own all architecture decisions of the application and ensure these are documented as part of Architecture Decision Records
- Recommend the right choice of tools & libraries in alignment with the organization standards.
- Ensure all architecture decisions are in alignment with corporate security standards and guidelines.
- Identify technical debts and define technology roadmap for the product/application.
- Articulate the benefits of architecture modernization to stakeholders and ensure adoption of latest and proven engineering practices & technology trends.
ABOUT YOU - SKILLS
- 10+ years of experience in IT.
- 5+ years of experience as lead Architect for large java product/application development.
- Very strong hand-on experience in Java based technologies like Spring, Spring boot, Hibernate and other cloud native Java frameworks
- Good understanding of JVM concepts.
- Excellent understanding and hands on experience on capabilities available in latest java versions and prudently apply in relevant context as appropriate
- Contribute to Java Community of Practice by sharing knowledge and help adoption of best practices across the enterprise, related to Java technology.
- Very strong hands-on experience in Cloud technologies like Azure and AKS.
- Strong understanding of application architecture, identification of NFR, SRE,
- Good experience in operational excellence – SRE, DevOps Maturity and FSO (Full stack observability)
- Good understanding of Mobile and Web Technologies
- Experience in migration of large monolith architecture to cloud ready architecture.
- Experience DevOps, DevSecOps methodologies and Software Development Life Cycle.
- Expertise in Product and Solution Design of Large-scale applications
- Domain expertise on Airline Domain would be added advantage
- Expertise in Large and Critical System Product Production Support and Problem Solving
- Must have good analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and solve problems
- Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
