Facility Operations and Maintenance
- Manage the upkeep of building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules.
- Ensure timely response to maintenance requests and emergencies.
Health, Safety, and Security
- Ensure compliance with local safety regulations, building codes, and environmental laws.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Maintain security systems, fire alarms, and emergency evacuation plans.
Client Management
- Fostering strong relationships with internal or external clients, ensuring their needs are met while maintaining the functionality and safety of the facilities.
- Act as the primary liaison between the organization and clients for facility-related concerns.
- Provide updates on maintenance schedules, changes, or projects affecting clients.
- Ensure facilities are well-maintained and services are delivered on time to create a positive client experience.
Vendor and Contractor Management
- Monitor vendor performance to ensure service quality and adherence to agreements.
- Coordinate external contractors for renovations, refurbishments, or repairs.
Budgeting and Financial Management
- Develop and manage the facilities budget, including maintenance, utilities, and upgrades.
- Forecast future costs and create cost-saving strategies.
- Approve and track expenditures related to facility operations.
Energy and Environmental Management
- Monitor energy usage and implement measures to reduce costs.
- Oversee waste management and recycling programs.
- Promote sustainable practices in facility operations (e.g., energy-efficient lighting).
Team Leadership
- Supervise and train facilities staff, such as technicians and custodians.
- Delegate tasks and monitor performance.
- Foster a safe and productive working environment.
Reporting and Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, incidents, and compliance documents.
- Prepare reports for senior management on facility performance, costs, and needs.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure efficiency.
Skills
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering with UPDA
Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in facilities management or a related role.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in facilities management software and budgeting tools.
- Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.).
- Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
