About the Role

An exciting opportunity to join the Qatar Airways Group Medical Department as Business Delivery Manager (Medical Operations). The role is responsible for supporting the Manager, Business Operations in ensuring seamless and efficient operations within the all medical facilities. The Business Operations Manager will play a crucial role in optimizing resources, improving patient care, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The role will focus on driving continuous improvement in operational performance, patient safety, and service quality across the medical centers.

Your duties would include:

  • Work alongside the Manager, Business Operations to contribute to the development of long-term strategic plans for the department.
  • Assist in the execution and implementation of expansion plans for the medical division.
  • Align operational goals with the overall organizational strategy to optimize patient care services.
  • Manage day-to-day operations ensuring efficient resource utilization and service delivery.
  • Develop and execute strategies for improving the quality of patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational performance and make necessary adjustments.
  • Collaborate with medical and administrative staff to enhance the patient experience and satisfaction.
  • Oversee procurement processes to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of medical supplies and equipment.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination between different departments to ensure smooth operations
  • Manage staffing levels, ensuring adequate coverage across all shifts and areas.
  • Optimize resource allocation, including the procurement and maintenance of medical equipment.
  • Monitor budgetary expenditures, identifying opportunities for cost savings and financial efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Implement staff development programs to enhance skills and performance
  • Provide leadership and guidance to a team of administrative and support staff.
  • Facilitate professional development opportunities for team members to improve skills and knowledge.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that encourages innovation and excellence.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to high standards of patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to staff.
  • Ensure compliance with all organizational policies, procedures, and standards.

Qualifications

We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional to join our Group Medical team. The ideal candidate should possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 6 years of job-related experience
  • A recognized qualification in Medical Administration or equivalent required
  • Masters’ Degree or equivalent in Hospital Management would be a plus.
  • Operations experience in medical Centre or hospitals
  • Regulatory experience of MOPH compliance would be an advantage
  • Should have excellent Command of English language
  • Managerial skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
  • Operational process mapping and use of appropriate tools like lean etc. towards optimization of resources
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Good numeracy skills – understanding of Profit and Loss statements
  • Should have Data Analytical Skills
  • Power BI Skills
  • Thorough knowledge of international accreditation standards, such as Joint Commission International (JCI)
  • Knowledge of project planning an execution
