Key Result Areas:
- Monitor the Asset Condition including monitoring the RAM (Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability) process: identifying trends on failures and establishing route causes and mitigation measures to improve asset reliability and performance for the Railway electrification, rolling stock, and railway systems
- Supervise any Corrective Maintenance tasks to be undertaken to the rail system including any required spare parts for the Railway electrification, rolling stock, and railway systems (signaling, traffic light control, communication system, depot equipment).
- Ensure service delivery of Rail system performance and undertake periodic maintenance audits on service providers confirming that the Railway electrification, rolling stock, and railway systems are maintained/operated as per the approved procedures and the original equipment’s manufacturer’s recommendations.
- Verify the Railway system and rolling stock maintenance planning and scheduling, including reviewing and approving monthly and annual Preventive Maintenance activities.
- Verify the methodology of any overhauling or replacement and/or refurbishment of the rail system and ensure proper review and approval through Marafiq system
- Implement weekly progress meetings with the Service Providers and review the effectiveness of the ongoing maintenance system related to rolling stock, and railway systems
- Facilitate the Failure Review Board periodic meetings to investigate and analyse significant tram incidents or failures as well as to identify root causes, contributing factors, and recommend corrective actions to prevent occurrences
- Verify the service provider’s payment request against work performed by confirming the actual approved / inspected maintenance work orders completion against the planned ones for the Railway electrification, rolling stock, and railway systems
- Ensure through periodic audits, e that the service providers procedures are adequate for all maintenance activities related to rolling stock, and railway systems
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for rail maintenance activities.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Engineering Degree Level or equivalent level of relevant education.
- 6-8 years of relevant full-time work experience, 2 of which at a supervisory level in a railway transportation field and maintenance service
- Ability to manage and supervise a team of maintenance workers
- Ability to coordinate with other departments and stakeholders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to system safety and compliance
- Strong understanding of rail system components and maintenance procedures
- Ability to develop and implement maintenance plans
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot failures with rail systems
- FRACAS knowledge and calculation of system reliability parameters.
- Excellent English writing skills with the ability to draft and edit a variety of written reports and communications and to articulate ideas clearly and concisely; Arabic proficiency is an advantage
- Proficiency in MS Office applications. Familiar with the SCADA software is an advantage.
