Key Result Areas:
- Monitor the Asset Condition of the rolling stocks and take corrective action to prevent problems/failures
- Manage the Corrective Maintenance tasks that are performed on the rail system including any required spare parts
- Manage the maintenance budget effectively, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising the quality of services.
- Develop and implement strategies for the effective management of the entire lifecycle of tram assets, including planning for replacements and upgrades.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans for maintenance activities, ensuring quick and efficient responses to unexpected incidents.
- Manage a team of maintenance Heads and ensure that all maintenance work is up to standard
- Implement any overhauling or replacement and/or refurbishment of the tram system and ensure proper review and approval through Marafiq system
- Manage the rail system and infrastructure maintenance planning and scheduling including approving the monthly / annual Preventive Maintenance activities
- Lead the progress meetings with the Service Providers and review the effectiveness of the ongoing maintenance regime
- Develop and facilitate training programs for Service Providers and maintenance staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out their responsibilities effectively.
- Lead the Failure Review Board and conduct periodic meetings to investigate and analyse significant tram incidents or failures as well as to identify root causes, contributing factors, and recommend corrective actions to prevent occurrences. Ensure that all maintenance works are carried out in compliance with system safety regulations
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance department, encouraging innovation and efficiency in maintenance processes.
- Collaborate with other teams to provide insights into maintenance considerations for new tram system components and infrastructure.
- Assist the Tram Operations Manager in issuing the maintenance performance KPI inputs for Service Providers
- Other reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisor
Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering & 8-10 years of relevant full time work experience, 3 of which at a supervisory level, in Rolling Stock Maintenance and Railway Maintenance Highly developed analytical skills using qualitative and quantitative data to identify potential improvements.

- Strong technical knowledge of tram systems and rolling stock maintenance components

- Familiar with the rolling stock procedures and commissioning processes.
- FRACAS knowledge and calculation of system reliability parameters.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft and edit a variety of written reports and communications and to articulate ideas clearly and concisely; Arabic proficiency is an advantage
- Proficiency in MS Office applications. Familiar with the SCADA software is an advantage
