Qatar Airways Technical – Compliance and Safety Department is in search for Compliance & Safety Engineer Level 2.
Your main role will be ensuring that constant maintenance standards applied to QR and Customer aircraft are satisfied to the requirements to QCAR Parts 145, M and 147 and EASA Parts 145 and 147
Operational Accountabilities;
- Carry out planned and ad-hoc compliance monitoring, audits independently when performing such tasks individually or under Senior Compliance & Safety Engineer when part of team to identify and record any finding; initiate/recommend solutions and report audit result to the Manager Compliance & Safety via Senior Compliance & Safety Engineer as part of ongoing Compliance & Safety Program.
- Follow up and verify the implementation of corrective action within specified timescales to ensure company's product and performance meet acceptable standards and make recommendation as necessary.
- Review regulatory changes and update keeping current company technical procedures and manuals (MOE, TPM, ASL, LSM, CAME, MTOE, RAC & Capability register) in consultation of Senior Compliance & Safety Engineer to maintain compliance to acceptable levels.
- Be involved in preparation of Compliance and Safety Notices and Compliance and Safety leaflets.
- Update and maintain company authorization system for authorization approvals to provide staff appropriately qualified and trained as required by QCAR/EASA & Customers regulations.
- Participate in the Assessment Boards (technical, procedures, and practical) for the purpose of granting/extending/renewing Qatar Airways authorizations for certifying staff, support staff and non-Aircraft Authorized staff.
- Be involved in review of occurrence reports generated from within technical or externally assigned to technical to ensure they are investigated to find the root cause and related recommendation are addressed to mitigate re-occurrence.
- Carry out extension of Airworthiness Review Certificate of Qatar Airways operated aircrafts as per authorization.
- Attend meetings as directed by Manager Compliance & Safety to delegate Compliance & Safety department. Review technical compliance related other sections/department or companies queries and report recommendations to the Manager Compliance & Safety.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers in consultation with Compliance & Safety Engineer when required. Ensure compliance related matters and airworthiness concerns are actioned accordingly to QR standards.
- Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

Qualifications- High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 5 years of job-related experience OR
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience
- Degree (B. Eng., BSc in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics or Aeronautical Engineering), or Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering with ICAO type Il license
- 9 years of job-related experience in Quality Assurance/Compliance & Safety/maintenance/ continued airworthiness environment/Auditing
- Received training on at least 2 aircraft types operated by Qatar Airways
- Minimum 2 years as an internal/certified auditor
