Project Manager – Transformation & Strategic Initiatives (Financial/Tax Sector):
We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead and implement complex, multi-million-dollar transformation program across the financial and tax sectors. This role will focus on driving enterprise-wide strategic initiatives to align with organizational goals and national priorities. You will oversee multi-year projects involving strategic planning, transformation of the Target Operating Model, risk management, and talent development. The role requires extensive experience in organizational strategy, stakeholder management, and implementing complex transformation programs.
Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Execution: Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of multi-year mega projects, ensuring alignment with national priorities. Develop and manage project plans, communication plans, and an escalation matrix to address issues and stakeholder expectations.
- Day-to-Day Project Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of demanding, large-scale projects, ensuring effective coordination across workstreams
- Task Breakdown & Work Packages: Break down large-scale tasks into manageable work packages for efficient execution, tracking, and delivery.
- RACI Matrix Management: Define and manage a RACI matrix (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed) to clarify roles and responsibilities across all project stakeholders.
- Risk & Issue Management: Identify and manage project risks and issues proactively, ensuring mitigation strategies are in place and timely resolutions are achieved to keep the project on track.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain strong, clear communication with key stakeholders, including government bodies, legal teams, IT departments, and external consultants, providing regular updates on project progress.
- Budget & Resource Management: Manage multi-million-dollar project resources, ensuring budgets are adhered to and resources are allocated efficiently.
- Escalation Management: Handle escalations and conflict resolution to keep projects on schedule and within scope.
- Reporting & Progress Tracking: Monitor project progress, ensuring deliverables are completed on time and to the required quality standards, providing regular status updates to senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in project management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (master’s preferred).
- PMP/Prince2 certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
- 15+ years of experience in managing large-scale, complex transformation projects, with a focus on aligning enterprise-wide initiatives with organizational strategy.
- Proven expertise in strategy refresh, Target Operating Model reassessment, and the development of comprehensive risk and compliance strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to engage with public and internal stakeholders to execute change management and communication plans effectively.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in national-level transformation initiatives, particularly in financial or taxation sectors.
- Expertise in managing complex multi-year rollouts of transformation strategies, with a focus on operational efficiency and risk mitigation.
- Strong background in developing public awareness campaigns and taxpayer/tax agent engagement strategies.
- Proven success in financial management reporting, audit case management frameworks, and establishing centralized data management functions.
