About this role:
As a Senior Treasury Analyst, you will plays a key role in managing QR’s financial risk management which including foreign exchange, commodity, interest rate, counterparty credit risks and short/long-term cash investments under the direction of treasury managers. Your primary focus will be on executing trades and transactions to manage the requirement of QR cashflow, mitigate fuel, currency and interest rate risks. You are also required to support the organisation’s risk management framework by helping identify, assess and monitor financial risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Trade Execution: Assist in executing trades in foreign exchange (including spot FX), interest rates, fuel/commodity and money market instruments as per the QR’s hedging strategies/policy.
- Cash investment: Assist in executing the cash investment decision as per the QR’s approved cash investment plan/policy.
- Market Monitoring: Monitor market trends, interest rates, commodity prices, exchange rates to inform trading decisions. Provide daily market updates to the management and senior management.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Assist in gathering financial data from various departments to identify potential risks. Perform analysis on market trends, credit risks and other risk factors affecting QR.
- Support in Risk Assessments: Assist in conducting risk assessments by preparing reports, supporting stress-testing processes.
- Reporting: Prepare regular and adhoc risk reports, trading activities, marker conditions and performance metric.
- Compliance and Documentation: Ensure that all trades comply with internal policy and external regulations including hedge accounting compliance.
- System and Process Maintenance: Be able to use and maintain treasury management system and other trading platforms. Ensure data accuracy and support process improvement initiatives.

About you:
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in finance, economics or related field.
- Basic knowledge of risk management strategies, including hedging management.
- Good analytical and numerical skills for assessing market trends and evaluating trading opportunities.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and familiarity with treasury management systems and trading platforms will be adding advantage.
- Good communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain risk concepts to non-experts.
Preferred:
Prior experience in trading financial instruments and/or strong understanding of foreign exchange (FX), Interest and fuel markets.
