HSE Manager

Multinational company which operates in water sector, is developing a huge project, in engineering area, based in Doha, Catar.


We're currently recruiting a HSE Manager.


Mission

Reporting to the Plant Manager (Doha South), you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures within the plant. Your role involves ensuring compliance with safety regulations, managing risk assessments, and promoting a safe working environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Monitor plant operations and ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations.
  • Provide training and support to plant staff on HSE practices, emergency procedures, and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and develop strategies to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain and update HSE records, including incident reports, safety inspections, and compliance documentation.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate HSE considerations into operational processes and projects.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices, regulatory changes, and advancements in HSE technology to enhance plant safety and environmental performance.



Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Technical Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 10 years of overall experience.
  • At least 5 years in an HSE role within a plant or industrial setting.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices; excellent risk assessment and problem-solving skills; proficiency in HSE management tools and MS Office Suite.
