Job Summary:

The Enterprise Security Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security architectures to safeguard enterprise systems. This role includes conducting security assessments, vulnerability scans, penetration tests, and monitoring security alerts. The engineer will manage security appliances, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive improvements in security measures across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Managerial:

  • Adhere to IT policies, processes, and standards.
  • Focus on IT Security Strategy, risk, governance, and compliance.

Functional:

  • Design and maintain security frameworks and architectures.
  • Conduct security assessments and penetration tests.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents and alerts.
  • Manage security appliances, ensuring timely patch management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security practices.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Provide security training and awareness to employees.
  • Support incident response activities, including investigation and remediation.
  • Implement and manage security tools (e.g., PAM, FIM, EDR, XDR).
  • Work with IT and development teams to ensure secure software development.
  • Manage and secure cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field.
  • Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+).

Experience:

  • 5+ years in enterprise or information security roles.



Skills


  • Strong understanding of security frameworks (NIST, CIS, ISO).
  • Expertise in network security devices (firewalls, NAC, load balancers).
  • Proficient with security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP).
  • Experience with vulnerability assessments and cloud security best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
