Load Control Manager (QAS) - Manila

We are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Qatar Aviation Services Operations team in Manila as Load Control Manager.

Job Purpose

To manage QAS Load Control department with agreed standards and financial targets. To provide leadership and management for the provision of services including but not limited to Load Control and any other services as directed by QAS Management. To support Manager TRC and Load control in identifying and developing
strategic plans to improve Load Control performance, support the QAS CLC business expansion and position QAS as an innovative, best practice Load Control service provider.

Accountabilities

  • Implementation of new business segments at overseas CLC centre, according to the QAS network strategy.
  • Creating and implementing effective and efficient work structure to be part of QAS Vision & Mission as a Sustainable and Lead Ground Handling Organization.
  • To establish the required procedures and reports that enable to have a tracking of the performance of all activities relevant to Load Control unit, in order to detect any deviation of the highest level of service.
  • To design the plan, through the analysis of the CLC business strengths, opportunities, weaknesses and threats, to ensure that the Load Control department can respond effectively to situations in a real-time environment.
  • To manage the staff and procedures through a continuous improvement plan to assure that safety and security of the operations remain the highest priority. To manage load control operations in a safe and improving manner with implementing airline and QAS requirements, and continuously improving those. Considering Safety and Security are Priority 1, SPIs are to be on a positive track.
  • To represent QAS Load control business and to deal with Customer Airlines, directly and through the direct reporting staff, to assure the effective feedback and the highest satisfaction level of QAS Load control clients.
  • Support the Manager TRC and Load Control in ensuring all areas of Load Control are within the planned operating budget.
  • Develop and maintain action plans related to DCS enhancements, trainings and skill development in order to enhanced work environment for safe, simpler and more efficient load control operations; both in terms of safety/ops and cost-wise.
  • Conduct operational investigations, revise and establish operational procedures for the continuous improvement.
  • Comment and control airline-related documents and analyse airlines’ procedures related to load control functions for the best implementation.
  • Work closely with the relevant Managers of other departments and take joint accountability for all administrative/operational activities within area of responsibilities as defined and agreed
  • To support the budget through a plan to reduce operational costs by curtailing overtime hours through cross-utilizing available resources from different areas of the Load control department and looking for synergies with other departments.
  • Make recommendations to Senior Management concerning staffing, equipment and procedures.
  • To manage the expansion and innovation projects implementation supporting the diversification of the business and the interaction with more and different stakeholders.
  • To build and lead the middle management framework to support the business growth needs in terms of new system, manpower, training and BCP requirements.
  • Develop safe work procedures in line with industry practice for persons operating Load Control areas.
  • Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

Qualifications

  • Relevant College or University qualification to min Bachelor's level
  • Relevant Aviation & Leadership Training
  • Minimum 7 years relevant experience with an Airline / Airport / Ground Handling company, in a Supervisory / Managerial role.
  • Experience dealing with Airline Representatives and external Agencies/Authorities
  • Experience handling disruptions and surge in operations due to holiday/peaks
