Job description: Job Purpose
  • Develop, evaluate, and direct consistent implementation of QatarEnergy LNG Operations Excellence (OE) programs and the Process Safety Program (PSP) and ensure the sustainability and continuous improvement of OE programs across all Company assets.

Key Job Accountabilities
  • Ensure that the framework and scope of the Process Safety Program (PSP) within the Company are consistently implemented through collaboration with Asset managers.

  • Lead a core multidisciplinary team in the development of QatarEnergy LNG Barrier Management processes that establish industrial best practices within the Company. Work closely with key stakeholders across the Company to ensure proper planning, organization, coordination, and effective implementation of QatarEnergy LNG Barrier Management processes.

  • Develop and implement the Mitigate Volume Threats (MVT) process across all assets, providing continuous enhancement and opportunities for integration with other Company risk and reliability processes.

  • Serve as the technical expert within the Operations Group for advice on complex issues having potential significant impact on business results and identify operational best practices that establish QatarEnergy LNG as a leader in the industry.

  • Direct the development of quality assurance and project planning measures for assigned projects to ensure proper implementation while considering critical quality standards and delivery targets (e.g., baseline studies, best practices surveys, and Level 3 implementation plans).

  • Develop and sustains all OE related programs/initiatives by incorporating essential control measures, including specific hierarchies for PSP audit programs, feedback systems, Key Performance Indicator (KPI) tracking, and “Heart and Mind” programs for effective behaviour and positive cultural change.

  • Advise the Operations Group on establishing all OE related KPI targets, for both leading and lagging KPI’s.

  • Advise on OE related technical competency for the Operations Group and development of structured training programs.

  • Develop and evaluate all relevant Operations Group level procedures, OE procedures and manuals, training materials, and assessment/evaluation practices.

  • Serve as business owner for all OE-related IT tools, including the ESMS electronic shift reporting tool, MVT, Field Operator Proactive Monitoring (FOPAM), and Panel Operator Proactive Monitoring (POPAM), to achieve the Company’s objective of being a leader in the industry.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering Discipline.

Knowledge and/or Experience
  • 11 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, with a solid understanding of Operations Excellence (OE) functions within similar environments.

  • Advanced knowledge and experience in the deployment of OE initiatives.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead large multidisciplinary teams capable of carrying out related Operations Group strategies, programs, and initiatives, in a sustainable manner.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive change behaviours to Operations teams with the introduction of related new programs, concepts, and best practices, with the ability to achieve alignment and support from related Management.
