Job Summary:

The Regional Sales Engineer is responsible for leading the sales efforts for the company's technical services across the region. This role combines technical expertise and sales management, focusing on promoting and selling to clients on a regional scale. The Engineer will develop and implement sales strategies, manage sales teams, and ensure that the technical support provided meet the client's needs while driving sales growth.


Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy Development:

  • Develop and execute a regional sales strategy
  • Identify target markets and create tailored sales approaches.
  • Set sales targets and objectives for the service sales team.


Team Leadership and Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team.
  • Provide training and support to the sales team to enhance their technical knowledge and sales skills.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback.


Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners.
  • Understand client needs and ensure that the technical services offered meet or exceed those needs.
  • Handle high-level negotiations and close large-scale deals.


Technical Expertise:

  • Maintain a deep understanding of the company's technical services and products.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the sales team and clients.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies.


Sales Operations:

  • Oversee the entire sales process, from lead generation to closing deals.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop sales materials and campaigns.
  • Use CRM software to track sales activities and manage the sales pipeline.


Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage the regional sales budget for technical services.
  • Monitor sales performance against targets and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to increase revenue and profitability.


Customer Satisfaction:

  • Ensure that customers are satisfied with the technical services provided.
  • Address and resolve any customer concerns or issues promptly.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to improve service offerings.


Reporting and Analytics:

  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback.
  • Use data and analytics to drive sales strategies and decisions.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management.


Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the technical service teams to ensure alignment between sales promises and service delivery.
  • Coordinate with other departments, such as product development and marketing, to support sales efforts.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field. A master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in technical service sales, with at least 3-4 years in a regional or regional management role.
