Moloobhoy Marine Services Qatar - A leading marine equipment service company is looking for a Business Development Executive to contribute to the growth of the company. Ideal candidate will be responsible for finding and retaining clients, encouraging extant clients to purchase added products or features, and remaining abreast of changes in consumption. You will also be required to build capacity in staff through regular training and mentorship.
Responsibilities
- Familiarizing yourself with all products and services offered by our company.
- Procuring new clients through direct contact, word-of-mouth, and collaboration with the marketing department.
- Attending networking activities to research and connect with prospective clients.
- Maintaining meaningful relationships with existing clients to ensure that they are retained.
- Crafting business proposals and contracts to draw in more revenue from clients.
- Negotiating with clients to secure the most attractive prices.
- Equipping staff with the technical and social skills needed to enhance sales.
- Reviewing clients' feedback and implementing necessary changes.
- Remaining in tune with trends in consumption to ensure that our offerings remain relevant.
- Collaborate with the business development team to share and update market information in weekly/monthly meetings.
- Coordinate collections with Finance team and follow-up with clients for timely payments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Maritime Shipping & Logistics or equivalent
- Experience within the Qatar Marine Industry for at least 3-5 years
- Experience working as a Key Account Manager at another Marine Service and Supply company in Qatar
- Experience working at a Port with ships or at a Marina in Qatar and interacted with vessel and yacht owners
- Must have a valid Qatar driving license
- Fluent in Arabic (spoken)
- Fluent in written and spoken English
Other Requirements:
- A clear understanding of Electronic and Life-saving Services that are needed on board a ship or offshore.
- Familiarity with the processes that are needed to do Marine servicing within the Electronics and Life-Saving and/or Fire Fighting sector
- A network with maritime companies in Qatar - onshore, offshore, private shipping companies, service providers in Qatar, Government, Defense Segment, Leisure (Recreational) and with marine agents
- Network with Superintendents working with Government marine companies in Qatar.
- A clear understanding of how to quote, qualify and apply for various marine tenders and how to register for them in Qatar.
- Familiarity with the names of OEM brands within the Electronic and Life-Saving segments.
