Purpose of the Role:

The Procurement Assistant will support the efficient sourcing, purchasing, and management of inventory for our unique trading card and collectibles business. This role involves developing procurement strategies, analyzing market trends, and ensuring timely stock replenishment in collaboration with the sales and operations teams. You will contribute to maximizing cost-efficiency while maintaining high-quality inventory to meet the demands of our growing market.


ACCOUNTABILITY & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Procurement Strategy Development: Assist in the creation and implementation of effective procurement strategies to optimize purchasing processes and reduce costs.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor current inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained by coordinating with the sales and operations teams. Initiate and track stock replenishment orders based on demand forecasts.
  • Market and Pricing Analysis: Conduct research on market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supplier options to make well-informed purchasing decisions that align with business needs and budget constraints.
  • Supplier Relations: Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the availability of quality products at competitive prices.
  • Compliance and Budgeting: Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies and budgetary guidelines, maintaining accurate records of purchases, payments, and contracts.
  • Purchase Orders and Contracts: Prepare and process purchase orders, reviewing terms and conditions to ensure alignment with the company's goals and standards.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, and finance, to ensure that procurement activities align with broader business objectives.


Skills

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience: Experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Odoo ERP system and inventory management tools is REQUIRED.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the collectibles industry, particularly in purchasing autographed memorabilia or trading cards, is a strong advantage.
  • Communication: Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills to manage supplier relationships.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, aligning procurement activities with sales, operations, and financial goals.
  • Education: A diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
