Job Summary

The AI Program Manager is responsible for guiding AI projects from inception to completion. The role involves managing the overall strategy, coordinating teams, ensuring technical quality, and aligning the project with organizational goals to ensure that AI initiatives are completed on time, within budget, and meet the desired outcomes. The AI program manager is a subset of the broader program manager role but specifically for AI initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders to define project goals, scope, and timelines.

Job Responsibilities 1

Defines AI project goals, set timelines, and outlines deliverables. They create detailed plans and schedules, oversee progress, and adjust as necessary to ensure the project is completed successfully.
Lead and oversee teams of data scientists, engineers, and designers, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Manage resource allocation and provide the necessary support for team members.
Serve as the main point of contact between stakeholders—executives, clients, and partners. Collect and prioritize their requirements and expectations and provide regular updates and reports on the AI project's progress and results.
Ensure AI solutions are developed following best practices and organizational standards. Review technical specifications, oversee the development process, and address any technical challenges or issues that arises during the project.

Identify potential risks and create strategies to mitigate them. Monitor and address any issues that could affect project success, and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards, especially concerning data privacy and AI fairness.
Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for AI projects, assess project outcomes against these goals, and implement continuous improvement processes based on performance data.
Stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in AI and related technologies. Contribute to developing AI strategies and roadmaps and identify opportunities to use AI for creating business value and driving innovation.

Job Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of AI technologies, machine learning, and data science principles. Understanding AI frameworks, tools, and methodologies is essential.
Proficiency in managing complex projects, including defining scopes, setting timelines, and ensuring successful delivery. Familiarity with project management methodologies like Agile or Scrum is often required.
Ability to use performance data to drive continuous improvement processes and enhance project outcomes.
Staying updated on the latest trends and advancements in AI to leverage new technologies and strategies for business value.
Experience in developing and managing budgets, and effectively securing and allocating resources, including technology and talent.
Skills to lead and manage cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and designers. This involves facilitating collaboration, providing support, and resolving conflicts.
Strong ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, including executives, clients, and team members. This includes presenting technical information in a clear and understandable manner.
ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills is a requirement to be successful in this role

Job Experience

Minimum 8 years working experience, 5 years in a relevant supervisory position, 2 years GCC experience is a plus
