Key Responsibilities:

1. Conceptualization and Design:

a. Lead the creative process by generating innovative and trend-setting design

concepts.

b. Develop detailed design and technical sketches, mood boards, and prototypes for

various fashion collections.

2. Trend Analysis:

a. Stay abreast of current fashion trends, market developments, and competitor offerings

to inform and inspire design decisions.

b. Utilize trend forecasting to anticipate and capitalize on emerging styles and consumer

preferences.

3. Technical Proficiency:

a. Expertise in fabric selection and thorough knowledge in pattern making, garment

construction to collaborate with production team and pattern makers.

b. Collaborate with technical teams to address manufacturing and production

considerations.

4. Embroidery and print development:

a. Have in depth knowledge and experience in various types of print designing (seamless

prints, placement prints, panel prints etc.) on Adobe illustrator and photoshop

b. Develop embroidery motifs using different embellishments and techniques to guide

our in-house embroiderers and artisans.

5. Leadership and Collaboration:

a. Lead and inspire a team of designers, guiding them through the design process and

fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.

b. Collaborate cross-functionally with merchandising, marketing, procurement and

production teams to ensure seamless integration of design concepts into the overall

brand strategy.

6. Quality Control:

a. Oversee the development of samples and prototypes, ensuring the highest quality

standards are met.

b. Conduct regular quality checks and provide feedback to ensure adherence to design

specifications.

7. Presentation and Communication:a. Present design concepts and collections to Creative Director, management team and

clients, with clear and compelling communication.

b. Effectively communicate design ideas and requirements to the production team, ensuring seamless execution.

Skills

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a fashion design role.

Proven track record of successful fashion collections and demonstrated expertise in various design styles.

In-depth knowledge of fashion trends, textiles, and garment construction.

A portfolio featuring projects that illustrate the entire creative process, from ideation to the final product.

Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (with a minimum proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign) and Procreate.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field.
