Role Overview:
The Senior Vice President - Wealth Management will be responsible for leading the development and management of a sophisticated client base of high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs) and ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWIs), with a specific focus on alternative investment strategies and capital raising. This role demands an in-depth understanding of alternative investment products, including private equity, hedge funds, real estate, and other non-traditional asset classes. The SVP will play a critical role in raising capital from investors, providing bespoke investment solutions, ensuring the highest level of client satisfaction, and driving the growth of the business unit.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with HNWIs and UHNWIs, serving as their primary advisor for alternative investment strategies.
- Provide tailored investment advice and portfolio management services that align with clients' financial goals and risk tolerance.
- Act as a trusted advisor, continuously assessing client needs and proactively offering innovative solutions.
Capital Raising:
- Lead efforts to raise capital from investors for various alternative investment vehicles, including private equity, hedge funds, and real estate funds.
- Develop and implement strategic capital raising plans, targeting HNWIs, UHNWIs, family offices, and institutional investors.
- Collaborate with the product development and marketing teams to create compelling investment propositions that resonate with target investors.
Investment Strategy & Execution:
- Design and implement bespoke investment strategies across various alternative asset classes, including private equity, hedge funds, real estate, and other non-traditional investments.
- Oversee the due diligence process, ensuring thorough analysis and assessment of potential investments.
- Monitor and report on the performance of client portfolios, making adjustments as necessary to optimize returns.
Business Development:
- Identify and capitalize on opportunities to expand the client base, leveraging networks and market knowledge.
- Collaborate with the business development team to structure and promote new alternative investment products.
- Lead client pitches and presentations, effectively communicating the value proposition of alternative investments and the capital raising strategy.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
- A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in investment banking, wealth management, or asset management, with a focus on alternative investments and capital raising.
- Proven track record of managing and growing a sophisticated client portfolio, specifically within the HNWI and UHNWI segments.
- Demonstrated success in raising capital from investors, including HNWIs, UHNWIs, family offices, and institutional investors.
- Deep knowledge of alternative investment products and strategies, including private equity, hedge funds, real estate, and other non-traditional assets.
- Exceptional client relationship management skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with high-profile clients.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with experience in mentoring and developing junior professionals.
