We are working with a Major Oil & Gas operator to source a Head of Project Engineering. This is a long-term contract role. Please see details below.

Title: Head of Project Engineering

Start Date: ASAP (typically within 1 month notice)

Location: Qatar Onshore

Working Schedule: 6 days per week / 8-10 hours per day

Job Purpose

  • Responsible for the timely assessment and execution of required activities. These activities are related to management and Governance of changes, alignment on project engineering requirements, objectives, and timing.

Key Job Accountabilities

  • Responsible for compliance of internal Governance Processes required to effectively manage changes in MP Onshore to enable Major Project.
  • Responsible for regular reporting and analysis of MP changes related to another MP.
  • Monitoring of the support by MP resources to another MP.
  • Facilitation and support to the management of change process, including Decision Records and approvals.
  • Responsible for compliance with Project Management System.
  • Supporting the change assessment and approval process by preparing information packages and slide packs as required.
  • Supporting the cost recovery process between projects by providing input and reporting.
  • Facilitation of change coordination meetings between projects.

Qualifications

--Minimum Requirements--

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering

Knowledge and Key Skills

  • 10+ years of experience with at least five years demonstrated project engineering experience in major capital projects.
  • Experience with EPC contractors, sub-contractors and vendors involved in the oil and gas industry.
  • Demonstrated ability and sensitivity to work with people from a variety of cultural backgrounds.
  • Experience with Management of Change
