Managing Director

MCG Talent - Qatar - Doha

We are looking for a Managing Director of a new communications consultancy in Qatar, the role is to be heading up the launch and development of a new agency that is part of a wider group.


This person must be bilingual and have previous experience of working in an agency or consultancy, the position will also be focused on the government sector, so experience in this area is required.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business strategy that aligns with global objectives while meeting the specific needs of the Qatari and GCC markets. Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, building strong relationships with key stakeholders and clients.
  • Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of communications professionals. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that drives excellence.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering customized strategic communication solutions that align with their business goals. Ensure client satisfaction and long-term partnership growth.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the consultancy, ensuring efficient service delivery, budget adherence, and performance management.
  • Establish the consultancy’s brand and reputation in the Qatari market. Implement marketing and public relations strategies that position the firm as a leader in strategic communications within the region.
  • Work closely with the global leadership team to ensure alignment with the group’s overall strategy. Leverage global resources and best practices to drive innovation and success in the local market.


Qualifications:

  • Fluency in both English and Arabic is ideal
  • Significant experience in the GCC is required, with experience in the Qatari market being highly beneficial.
  • Proven track record in a senior leadership role within the communications, public relations, or marketing sectors, preferably within a consultancy or agency environment.
  • Strong business development skills with a history of growing revenue and expanding client portfolios.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic plans effectively, with a focus on achieving business growth and client satisfaction.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
