The Senior Accountant performs professional accounting work involving compilation, consolidation, and analysis of financial data. May include any or all of the following: ledgers and preparation of journal entries, fixed asset or inventory accounting, preparation of trial balance or financial statements, cost accounting, bank account reconciliation. Provides daily financial oversight to ensure that the financial records are complete, accurate and comply with generally accepted accounting principles and policies.

Responsibilities

• Has strong ability to communicate financial information clearly and effectively to stakeholders.
• Having a solid grasp of accounting principles and concepts.
• Can coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
• Preparing assets, liabilities, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Document financial transactions by entering account information on ERP & Spreadsheets. Recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
• Summarize current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
• Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents. Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
• Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information. Secure financial information by completing data base backups.
• Maintain financial security by following internal controls. Prepare payroll and transfer salaries through WPS system.
• Prepare payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements. Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
• Has strong knowledge in existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.

Qualifications

• Locally available in Qatar
• with transferable QID
• Bachelor's in Accountancy is a must
• 3 to 5 years Solid Experience as Senior Accountant
• Has the ability to prepare financial documents, and proficiency with accounting information systems and software tools.
