Our services are focused on the Finance Function, and we work with clients in identifying and tackling their challenges in Growth, Governance and Performance. Our Advisory teams support businesses as they restructure and expand, whether organically or by acquisition. We help them to become more efficient and provide support as they adapt to the challenges posed by a rapidly changing business environment.


Sub-Business Unit Overview: Deals Advisory


Deals Advisory helps clients see beyond immediate challenges to future opportunities. By giving clients the confidence to make the right decision at the right time, we empower businesses with the tools to drive strategic change.


Role Overview


Builds and cultivates strong business relationships and shows technical and operational leadership

to deliver quality, client centric solutions in the realm of M&A, buy side, sell side, Deals, Due Diligence and Valuation. Manages the preparation, delivery, reporting and evaluation for larger and higher risk projects and engagements. Advocates innovation both within the firm and with clients and takes a leading role in developing team members to their full potential and promoting collaboration among larger teams. Provides advanced technical knowledge, direction, and training to others and participates in team practice decisions such as resource allocation.


Primary Job Responsibilities & Accountabilities:


  • Leads/manages multiple projects or programs, through the management of a team of professionals and possibly with the contribution of cross-divisional specialists.
  • Strong credentials in the deals/transaction space with exposure to infrastructure advisory will be an added advantage
  • Ability to present to and discuss with senior internal and client stakeholders and articulate points of view
  • Involved in/takes lead in negotiations
  • Presents reports/findings to senior stakeholders in consultation with Partners and/or Directors and enables client to make informed decisions for their business
  • Develops portfolio of clients by building and maintaining strategic relationships with senior stakeholders of existing or new clients
  • Identifies new opportunities and develops these with existing clients, contributing to
  • and/or managing the development of proposals
  • Maintains an awareness of market trends, competitor activity and products/services
  • Manages scope and delivers timely and quality deliverables
  • Inputs into creation of innovative and repeatable solutions which strengthen business performance and differentiate KPMG from our competition
  • Identifies development needs of team and provides coaching, mentoring and stretch assignments to attract, develop and retain our most talented colleagues
  • Builds constructive working relationships across different teams


Qualification and Experience


  • Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in Deals Advisory
  • MBA, CFA or equivalent
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in client-facing environments, collaborating with diverse teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business challenges into actionable digital strategies.
  • Strong project management abilities, including the capability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling you to effectively convey complex ideas and results.
  • Business acumen with a focus on value creation, decision facilitation, and project management.
  • Ability to work with senior stakeholders, contribute to challenging projects, and meet aggressive timelines.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a dynamic consulting environment.
  • A keen interest in staying up to date with industry trends, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Certifications in relevant area of expertise are mandatory
