Job title: NLQ (New Living Quarter) HVAC Engineer

Assignment type: Contract

Work location: Qatar onshore

Work schedule: Residential, 5 days per week

Start date: 01-OCT-2024 or ASAP

Estimated end date: 30-SEP-2026 (with possibility to extend)

Accountabilities

  • Ensure Engineering Dossiers are delivered with a robust HVAC engineering definition and fit for purpose design that can be procured, fabricated, transported, installed, and operated safely, meeting the requirements of International Standards, Company standards, Project Basis of Design, and SOR.
  • Ensure assigned project tasks are well managed in accordance with Company safety regulations, the quality compliance, the project execution plan and contractual requirements that include:
    • Thorough, efficient, and timely review of project HVAC discipline documents, realization of potential derogations to the standards, and challenge the design to achieve an optimize and fit for purpose outcome.
    • Assisting to project studies and meetings related to the HVAC discipline as per project approved gate levels and design maturity.
    • Identifying potential risks and scope changes, conducting initial impact assessment to provide detailed information to NLQ Engineering Coordinator.
  • Ensure efficient communication with all other Company engineering and functional team members.
Job Dimensions

  • The Job holder belongs to the Major Projects Engineering Team and reports to the Project Engineering Manager and functionally reports to NLQ Engineering Coordinator.
  • The Job holder will be initially based in Company premises in Doha, Qatar during the Call For Tender phase and then will be relocated in EPC Contractor Premises during the execution phase. Possible worldwide mission(s) to other Project Package locations and/or NLQ VENDORS as required may be expected during various project phases.

Qualifications & Experience Required

  • Qualification: Engineering degree in Mechanical or HVAC system engineering.
  • Experience: minimum 10 years' experience in HVAC engineering and design in offshore Oil and Gas industry.
  • Strong leadership skills and good communication skills.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Familiar with International Code and Standards is a plus (including SOLAS, ABS, NORSOK, NFPA,....)
  • Knowledge of TotalEnergies General Specifications is a plus
  • Language: fluent English,
  • Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment.
