Job Title: Materials Specialist - Engineer (11 Months contract)

Job Objective: The Materials Specialist is responsible for the efficient handling, storage, quality control, and distribution of materials within the warehouse. This includes maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and inspecting incoming materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory, including receiving, storing, and issuing materials.
- Order Fulfillment: Coordinate the picking, packing, and shipping of orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Quality Control: Inspect materials for compliance with specifications and report discrepancies.
- Organization & Documentation: Optimize storage, prepare inventory documentation, and ensure safety compliance.
- Communication: Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve material flow issues.
- Training & Compliance: Train staff on material handling and ensure regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- Experience: 4-6 years in materials management, preferably in Oil & Gas or Warehousing.
- Skills: Proficiency in Office applications, WMS systems, and safety practices.
- Languages: Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
Market/Industry/Functional Knowledge
- (API-570 - API 570 covers inspection, rating, repair, and alteration procedures for metallic and fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) piping systems and their associated pressure relieving devices that have been placed in service.)
- Knowledge of 3PL & 4PL, Oil & Gas, Warehousing at principal companies
- ASTM Experience - American Society for Testing and Materials. An international standards organization that develops and publishes voluntary consensus technical standards for a wide range of materials, products, systems, and services.
- Ensure a safe work environment by conducting risk assessments and promoting safety practices.
- API 510. - Certified API 510 Pressure Vessel inspectors must have a broad knowledge base relating to maintenance, inspection, repair, and alteration of pressure vessels
