Job Summary
To acquire, establish and maintain profitable relationships with existing and new customers, manage a portfolio of accounts in order to increase share of wallet whilst mitigating any credit risk and cross sell bank products
Key Accountabilities
- Organise and supervise the activities and work of subordinates to ensure that all work within a specific area of the activity is carried out in an efficient manner which is consistent with operating procedures and policy.
- Provide on-the-job training and constructive feedback to subordinates to support their overall development.
- Identify the prospects within the relevant area, from referrals and use market knowledge to acquire new clients. Provide regular monitoring of market and competitive trends, strategies and key performance indicators, individual and departmental budgets on assets, deposits, interest and fee income, and cross sell
- Actively undertake and maximise the cross-selling of products to a portfolio of the clients, as well as the marketing of new products and services to the client portfolio.
- Maximise client relationship profitability and ensure good asset quality and maximise the cross-selling of products and services to the client portfolio.
- Participate in regular, structured client meetings and ensure all key clients are personally met at least quarterly with higher frequencies for the top tier clients and circulate a call report on all calls/visits.
- Ensure opportunities are identified, market information on developments as appropriate is gathered and business referred to other teams is provided in a standard format.
Other Accountabilities
- Ensure that Facility documentation is completed to required standards, all security, covenants and conditions are complied. Consult with internal or external legal counsel on large and complex facility documents. Develop familiarity and basic skills in core documentation structures and principles.
- Maintain high compliance standards for assigned portfolio- AML, KYC requirements. Ensure timely responses and actions on internal and QCB audit and inspection reports.
- Build good product knowledge of all major bank products. Liaise with products and service specialists in order to best serve client needs. Suggest introduction of new or amend existing products to suit market trends and customer needs.
- Review, monitor and follow up the department portfolio in terms of facilities, accounts transactions arrears, past dues.
