About Role

Join our team as a Senior Manager Employee Relations and Policies where you will lead the development and implementation of key strategies that foster a positive workplace culture, ensure compliance with labour laws globally and drive employee engagement. In this role you will oversee the management of employee related investigations, grievances and appeals as well as leading policy review and international compliance across the entire Qatar Airways Group and its international network. You will work closely with the HR Business Support department, offering expert guidance on handling complex and high-stake cases. Additionally, you will design and execute HR Self – audits across the HR Division, extending to outstations.

Role and responsibilities

  • Lead Development and Strategy: Provide vision, leadership and management by enhancing Employee Relations’ strategy and SOP’s that align with business needs particularly in investigation and disciplinary procedures
  • Enhance Employee Relations Programs: Design, plan and implement employee relations programmes, policies and procedures to ensure consistent outcomes across the organisation
  • Strengthen Employee Engagement and Brand: Improve employee engagement and employer brand by delivering high quality HR support and services to employees and managers throughout the organisation.
  • Lead Global Policy Review and international compliance initiatives across the Group’s extensive international network.
  • Oversee Audit Investigation Process within HR to ensure adherence to policies and procedures and ensure compliance with labour law at head-office as well as outstations.

Qualifications

Knowledge Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor Degree with minimum 10 years of job-related experience OR High School or Vocational Qualification with minimum 12 years of experience
  • Experience in HR or legal including managerial roles, senior employee relations or internal audits
  • Experience in dealing with employee grievances and disciplinary matters.
  • Experience of planning and delivering employee relations initiatives such as industrial relations and social audits.
  • Experience investigating complex employment complaints and advising management on outcomes and recommendations
  • Knowledge of employment laws, including the latest trends in social media, employee privacy and investigations
  • Knowledge of employee relations procedures including employment tribunals, disability and equal opportunities.
  • Knowledge of Qatar Labour Law is not mandatory but would be advantageous.
