We have an exciting opportunity to join our Commercial team as Regional Sales Manager Offline, covering our European market.
Based in Central London, you will provide leadership and commercial strategic focus on the European region over the development of offline traffic opportunities. You will develop sales action plans to be implemented through local field sales to maximise Qatar Airways (QR) presence in offline countries in the region and support European regional teams in developing offline points within markets where QR already operates.
You will liaise with Head Office, Alliances/partnerships, Revenue Management & Regional Marketing and other necessary resources, activities and investments to develop new markets whilst observing commercial profitability.
Accountabilities include:
· Provide strategic direction to offline sales team and Implement strategy to activate and develop local agents to optimise Qatar Airways revenue and improve market presence in European offline markets.
· Identify relevant gateways (both primary and secondary), feeder carriers and leverage airline partnerships through Special agreements, Codeshares and Interline with a special focus on Qatar Airways strategic partners, One World Alliance and beyond.
· Work with Head office and regional departments in implementing pricing strategies (Structural, Tactical & Private Deals) from European offline markets
· Periodical review and coordination with Head office in ensuring all relevant routings/feeders are included in Qatar Airways fare offering from offline markets
· Identify, develop and grow new markets and maximize offline opportunities as they present on QR expanded network with appropriate planning and strategic development. Provide recommendation to management on offline markets with the potential to become online.
· Recommend new partners including multimodal services to enhance offline revenue from European offline markets
· Accountability for strategic direction of Qatar Airways Corporate/Trade and Leisure Sales, defining the optimal way to increase sales by recommendation for routes, timings, aircraft type and other product development.
· Responsible for delivering sales revenue, maximising the return from existing offline markets with increased specific focus. Responsible for delivering targets and KPIs for the team members and accountable for negotiating incentive agreements and alignment of key distribution channels in the assigned markets with QR distribution strategy.
· Monitor performance and activity of key competitors within the assigned markets and optimize Qatar Airways resources in the region. Monitor and feedback competitor pricing and promotional activity in the region.
· Maintain high level relationship with Key industry Bodies, Tourism Associations, Airports, Diplomatic missions within the assigned territories.
· Optimize corporate deals, sales and marketing agreements in the area. Ensure that Qatar Airways has optimal market presence in marketing campaigns and public events in the region.
· Support European regional teams in enhancing revenue from offline points within Counties in Europe where QR already operates.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you will have the following:
· Deep knowledge of the aviation/travel industry.
· Proven ability to influence and negotiate at all levels, working effectively within a multi-cultural environment.
· Experience in selling of airline, tour operators or hotel products and good knowledge of the region. Strong sales ability and financial acumen.
· Experience of government and airline industry relations.
· Excellent organizational, budgetary and planning skills.
· Strong leadership and excellent communication skills. Ability to lead, set clear directions and foster positive relationships within the team.
Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential for this role. You must also have the right to live and work in the UK to be considered for this role.
