Job title: Completions Lead

Assignment type: Contract

Contract duration: 3 years (with possibility to extend)

Work location: Qatar Onshore

Work schedule: 6 days per week, 10 hours per day

Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for supporting and guiding the EPC Management teams who has the full authority, accountability, and responsibility for safe and successful delivery of EPC scope for all System Completions aspect of the project.
  • Work in a project environment to create a culture that encourages everyone to contribute to their best ability every day.
  • Supports in the coordination of complex internal and external interfaces including the potential for simultaneous operations (SIMOPS).
  • Clear and concise communications required with PMT members.
  • Leads by example and demonstrates high integrity in all details while sensitive to multi-cultural differences and effective communications with individuals for whom English is second language.
  • Interfaces with EPC Contractor/QC/OES/Operations/Contractors and Completions Teams from Project areas, Turnover Team and Walkdown Engineers.
  • Support and provide guidance to walkdown team with the schedule and execution of walkdowns where required, and in line with the the project walkdown & punch list procedures.
  • Support the EPC Contractor in ensuring the System Completion procedures are followed by all parties.
  • Support the EPC Contractor in ensuring the certification database is up to date at all the times. In case deviations are found, provide support as and when required with the coordination of team members, contractors and Engineering to identify and apply the solution, in a timely manner.
  • Supports EPC Contractor Preservation team in ensuring preservations routines are carried out and full audit traceability reported within System Completions Database maintained.
  • Support EPC System Completion with other department managers and staff members to solve any issues which may arise that impact the completions and handover process.
  • Review and comment on Project Documents on behalf of COMPANY where applicable.
  • Support the database review process in obtaining the Project information required to assist the systemisation of systems & sub-systems.
  • Support EPC Contractor in allocation of tags and QVDs according to contractor's scope of work and project priorities and milestones where required.
  • Support and participate where required in the evaluation of MOC boundaries, to identify the overlaps with Sub-system boundaries and assist the correct interface with the certification process.
  • Support the EPC Contractor in the review of the System Completion Database based on the actual information loaded, System boundary diagrams, cable schedules, carry over work information or any other detailed information if needed.
  • Support EPC Contractor in the creation of Sub-System boundaries as and when required.
  • Provide support in the consistency of Checksheet, Punch List, Exception and Readiness reports.
  • In case of lack of resources support the EPC Contractor walkdown engineers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree would be beneficial however, not required. Leadership roles within the industry will be taken into consideration.
  • Minimum 15+ years of experience in oil & gas industries and minimum 5+ years on similar position.
  • Experience with Project Execution related environment with broad experience of projects, engineering, and systems completion.
  • Demonstrated ability and sensitivity to work with people from a variety of cultural backgrounds.
  • Experience of working in Asian yards would be a benefit.
  • Strong communication, influencing and interface skills.
  • Good communication and influencing skills Excellent written and oral English skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience of system completion management systems.
  • Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities.
  • Make decisions in the general interest while pursuing business results.
  • Willing and able to travel as required.
