About the Role
An exciting opportunity to join the Qatar Airways Group Medical Department as Insurance and Reporting Manager. The role is responsible for developing and overseeing all aspects of the health insurance operations and medical reporting at the medical centers. This includes negotiating contracts with health insurance companies, ensuring compliance with regulations, managing claims processing, and optimizing revenue through effective insurance billing practices. The role requires a strategic thinker who can establish and maintain strong relationships with insurance providers and internal stakeholders, while also ensuring accurate and timely medical reporting.
Your duties would include:
- Oversee the entire revenue cycle management, from PT registration and insurance verifications to claims submission
- Develop and implement health insurance policies and procedures for the medical centers
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of health insurance claims.
- Develop and maintain up to day policies and procedures that align with the requirements of Law No. 22, including those related to mandatory health insurance coverage, claims processing and reporting
- Monitor and analyse insurance claim denials and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance regulations and changes in the industry.
- Coordinate with billing, clinical and administrative staff to ensure proper documentation and coding.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of medical reports to insurance companies and regulatory bodies.
- Lead and manage the insurance and medical reporting team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
- Develop training programs for staff on insurance policies, procedures, compliance requirements, and medical reporting standards.
- Lead initiates to implement new technologies or processes that streamline RCM, such as electronic medical record system or automated billing software
- Establish performance metrics and regularly evaluate team performance.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
- Analyse revenue cycle performance metrics and identify areas for improvement
- Conduct regular audits of insurance and medical reporting processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and present reports on insurance operations, medical reporting, and financial performance to senior management.
- Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies as required
- Develop and implement a comprehensive monitoring system to ensure that all health insurance activities meet the legal requirements of Law No. 22; and monitor of group overall claims ratio,
- Ensure insurance process utilization internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications
We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional to join our Group Medical team. The ideal candidate should possess the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in health insurance management and medical reporting within the healthcare industry with at least 3 years of managing a team.
- Strong knowledge of insurance regulations, billing practices, claims processing, and medical reporting standards.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using insurance management and medical reporting software and systems.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and implement long-term insurance and medical reporting strategies.
- Meticulous in ensuring accuracy in claims processing, documentation, and medical reporting.
- Thorough understanding of insurance and medical reporting regulations and ability to ensure organizational compliance.
- Commitment to providing excellent service to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of financial principles related to insurance, revenue management, and medical reporting.
- Ability to navigate changes in the insurance and medical reporting landscape and adjust strategies accordingly
- Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Good numeracy skills – understanding of Profit and Loss statements
- Should have Data Analytical Skills
