Job Description: We are looking for a qualified Electrical Engineer to join our research vessel crew. The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and repairing all electrical systems on board, ensuring the vessel operates safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair all electrical systems, including generators, motors, and lighting
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
- Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance and repairs
Requirements:
- Valid Electrical Engineer’s certification (STCW Reg. VI/I)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer on vessels
- Strong knowledge of marine electrical systems and safety protocols
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Fluent in English
