Sales Consultant (Automotive)

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Engagement:
  • Greet and engage customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Conduct needs assessments to understand customer requirements and preferences.
  1. Product Knowledge:
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the dealership’s vehicle inventory, including features, specifications, and pricing.
  • Provide detailed information and demonstrations on vehicle models, options, and accessories.
  1. Sales Process:
  • Present and explain vehicle options to customers, highlighting key features and benefits.
  • Assist customers in selecting and configuring vehicles that meet their needs and budget.
  • Guide customers through the sales process, including negotiating prices, arranging test drives, and processing paperwork.
  1. Customer Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and referrals.
  • Follow up with leads and potential buyers to keep them engaged and informed about new offers or promotions.
  1. Sales Targets:
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and performance metrics set by the dealership.
  • Utilize sales strategies and techniques to maximize vehicle sales and profitability.
  1. Documentation & Reporting:
  • Prepare and complete sales agreements, contracts, and financing arrangements.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales transactions, customer interactions, and follow-ups.
  1. Market & Product Trends:
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
  • Provide feedback to management on customer preferences and market trends to support inventory planning and marketing strategies.
  1. Customer Service:
  • Address and resolve customer concerns or issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by providing excellent service throughout the buying process and beyond.
  1. Team Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with other sales team members and departments to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and dealership events.


Skills

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is a plus.1-3 years experience in a similar job role.
  • Experience:
  • Previous experience in automotive sales or a similar customer-facing role preferred.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Skills:
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer-focused with a passion for providing exceptional service.
  • Ability to quickly learn and retain detailed information about vehicles and financing options.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in using sales software and CRM systems.
  • Basic understanding of automotive technology and financing options.
