Key Responsibilities:

  1. Transaction Processing:
  • Operate cash registers to process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and electronic payments following company policies.
  • Issue receipts, refunds, and change to customers as needed.
  1. Customer Service:
  • Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their purchases.
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional manner.
  • Provide information about products, promotions, and store policies.
  1. Cash Management:
  • Accurately count and handle cash during and at the end of shifts.
  • Reconcile cash drawers and report discrepancies to the supervisor or manager.
  • Prepare and deposit cash and receipts according to company procedures.
  1. Sales Support:
  • Assist with stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and maintaining store cleanliness.
  • Support other store functions, such as bagging groceries or assisting with product displays, as needed.
  1. Checkout Process:
  • Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Verify the accuracy of scanned items and pricing, and ensure correct discounts are applied.
  • Assist customers with gift wrapping or other special services if applicable.
  1. Compliance & Security:
  • Follow company policies and procedures for handling cash and processing transactions.
  • Adhere to security protocols to prevent theft or fraud.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer information and financial transactions.
  1. Record Keeping:
  • Maintain accurate records of transactions, returns, and exchanges.
  • Prepare and submit reports related to cash handling and sales as required.
  1. Team Collaboration:
  • Work collaboratively with other cashiers and store staff to ensure smooth store operations.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on store policies and procedures.


Skills

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.At least 2 Year relevant experience in same role
  • Experience:
  • Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role is preferred.
  • Basic experience with cash handling and point-of-sale (POS) systems is advantageous.
  • Skills:
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to handle customer inquiries and complaints.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in operating cash registers and POS systems.
  • Basic math skills for handling cash and calculating change.
