Credit Risk Senior Specialist

As a Senior Credit Risk Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in assessing and managing credit risk for in-house automotive financing. You will analyze credit data and financial statements, evaluate creditworthiness, and develop strategies to minimize risk while supporting business growth. Your expertise will ensure that the company’s financing portfolio remains healthy and aligned with risk tolerance and business objectives.


Key Responsibilities:


Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure that all credit risk management activities comply with relevant regulations and internal policies.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.


Policy Implementation:

  • Work with the risk management team to implement new policies and update existing ones as needed, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.


Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare and present detailed credit risk reports to senior management, including insights and recommendations for action.
  • Analyze trends and patterns in credit risk data to provide actionable insights for strategic decision-making.


Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with sales, underwriting, and collections teams to align credit risk strategies with business objectives.
  • Provide guidance and support to other team members on complex credit risk issues.


Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Participate in industry forums and training to stay current with emerging trends and technologies in credit risk management.


Skills

Qualification:


Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in credit risk management, preferably within the automotive industry or with in-house financing.


Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in financial modeling and risk assessment.
  • Proficiency in credit risk management software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to non-specialists.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to credit risk.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
