JOB DESCRIPTION

(Programmable Logic Controllers), SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition),

and other relevant instrumentation equipment used in LPG bottling plants.

x Specific knowledge of the LPG industry and the processes involved in LPG bottling plants

is essential. This includes understanding safety standards, hazardous area classifications,

and compliance with relevant codes and regulations.

x Experience in construction project management is important for overseeing the

installation, testing, and commissioning of Instrumentation & Control systems within the

project timeline.

x Should have the ability to interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs (Piping and

Instrumentation Diagrams), and control system layouts to ensure accurate implementation

of the designed systems.

x Experienced in the implementation of construction industry best practices, systems,

processes, and standards.

x pre-commissioning and commissioning of oil and gas, including experience at a

supervisory level, with relevant experience.

x Ability to interpret methods statements, construction schedules and drawings.

x Good skills in construction management, effective communication, conflict resolution.

x Able to resolves problems at site technically & contractually.

x Having exposure with multinational contractors.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

x Supervise the EPIC Contractors during the execution of construction activities at

construction site.

x Participate in reviewing detailed design drawings, method statements, material

requisitions, and etc.

x Co-ordinate mobilization and de-mobilisation of contractors on site.

x Supervise and approve construction activities and co-ordinate various aspects of project

construction including inspections, material submissions and working drawings from

contractors, and processing documentation as required.

x Carryout daily checks on contractor’s staff and work carried out during the previous day in

order to ensure compliance with prescribed contractual specifications.

x Handle all aspects of Electrical/Instrument Construction activities including site

investigations, site surveys and etc.

x Supervise and manage installation Earthing and Lightning Protection works.

x Supervise installation of Lighting and Small Power works. Manage and supervise cable

tray installation and Fire Alarm System cable laying and termination works.

x Co-ordination of finalizing Cable entries, cable routes, cable diversions etc.

x Manage and supervise cable tray installation and Instrument Control & Power Cable laying

and termination works.

x Supervise Fiber Optic cable installation and splicing works.

x Supervise installation of Fire Alarm Control Panels, Repeater Panels and Mimic Panels.

x Supervise installation of Control junction boxes and Panels.

x Good knowledge in reading and understanding Equipment Layout drawings.

x Overall coordination with Mechanical works, HVAC works, Fire alarm & Loss prevention

system works, Building Services works and etc.

x Cable termination and Loop checking.

x Co-ordinate pre-commissioning activities and assist during commissioning of facilities.

x Initiate Mechanical Completion Certificates (MCC), Hand Over Certificate (HOC),

Acceptance Certificate (AC), and facilitate the issuance of Project Completion & Discharge

Certificate

 

Skills

Qualification:

x Candidate must possess a degree or Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering or

Electrical/Electronic Engineering from an internationally recognized University with

extensive construction related experience. Good skills in construction management,

effective communication, conflict resolution. Relevant courses in HSE, QAQC and

construction.

Experience:

x Candidate should have a minimum of 15 years overall E&I experience in Construction

installation pre–commissioning & commissioning oil and gas industries.

x Must have good verbal and written communication skills to interface and communicate

with internal and external departments, agencies, contractors and vendors.

x The construction supervisor should have a strong technical background in Instrumentation

& Control systems, including knowledge of sensors, transmitters, controllers, PLCs
