About the role
As a UX/UI Design Specialist, you will be responsible for creating digital experiences that is visually stunning, at the same time is user-centric, intuitive, functional, and user-friendly that align with brand strategies and business objectives. UX/UI Design Specialist is responsible for creating user-centered designs for digital products, such as software interfaces and mobile apps. UX/UI Design Specialist’s focus is on enhancing user satisfaction and usability by improving the accessibility, efficiency, and aesthetics of the product. Conduct user research to understand user needs and preferences, create wireframes and prototypes to visualize design concepts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to iterate on designs based on feedback and testing results. UX/UI Design Specialist will also ensure that the final design aligns with brand guidelines, industry standards, and best practices in user experience design.
As part of your role, your additional responsibilities will include, but not limited to, the following:
- Take brief from Senior Branding Specialist with establishing a vision for the product or design, evaluating and collecting requirements and collaborate with relevant stakeholders
- Maintain awareness of current trends, influences in the market as well as understanding competitor airlines proposition to benchmark. Conduct user research to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points. This involves methods such as surveys, interviews, and usability testing to gather insights that inform design decisions.
- Develop impactful, user-centric design concepts, sitemaps, process flows, wireframe and storyboards
- Create interactive prototypes and mockups to demonstrate how users will interact with the product. Interactive design involves adding functionality, transitions, and animations to prototypes to simulate the customer experience.
- Identify and resolve UX issues based on feedback from relevant stakeholders and onboard customers
- Good communication to be able to articulate design concepts, present ideas to stakeholders, and collaborate with team members. Ensures alignment between design vision and project goals.
- Must be able to identify with customers / users to understand their needs, motivations, and emotions. Able to create solutions that resonate with customers and effectively address their pain points.
- Organise and structure information in a logical and intuitive manner, making it easy for users to navigate and find what they need. Categorising content, creating hierarchies, and designing navigation systems.
- Manage project timeline effectively to meet project deadlines and deliverables. Involve prioritising tasks, setting realistic timelines, and staying organised throughout the design process.
- Strong problem-solving skills to overcome obstacles and deliver effective design solutions.
Qualifications
About You
We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional to join the Product Development and Design Team.
- Minimum qualification of bachelor’s degree or equivalent is essential.
- 4+ years of job-related experience
- Previous experience working as a senior UX / UI designer or equivalent in a design company.
- Worked and developed UX / UI design projects with other design companies and agencies.
- Have extensive knowledge with digital experience platforms, interfaces, apps, etc.
- High proficiency in Digital Graphic Design software such as Figma, CSS, etc
- High proficiency to Adobe software i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Xd
- Have basic understanding of application development, including languages like JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
- Must be pro-active and have very good attention to detail.
- Have very good written and verbal communication skills.
- Well versed with Microsoft Office software.
