Position Title: System Administrator 

Location: Qatar, Doha

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced System Administrator who has a robust knowledge of Bitcoin and blockchain technologies. 
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth and efficient operations, and providing support for Bitcoin-related projects. 
Key Responsibilities: 
● System Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain server hardware, software, and network systems to ensure smooth and reliable operation. 
● Network Management: Monitor and manage network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls, to ensure optimal performance and security. 
● Security: Implement and maintain security measures, including firewalls, antivirus software, and data encryption, to protect company data and systems. 
● Backup and Recovery: Perform regular data backups and develop and implement disaster recovery plans to safeguard against data loss. 
● User Support: Provide technical support to staff, resolving hardware and software issues promptly and efficiently. 
● Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to prevent downtime and ensure high availability. 
● Software Management: Manage software installations, updates, and upgrades licensing, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements. 
● Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. 
● Compliance: Ensure all IT activities comply with local regulations and company policies. 
● Cloud Infrastructure: Manage and support cloud infrastructure and services to ensure optimal performance and scalability. 
● Blockchain Administration: Administer and support Bitcoin nodes and related blockchain infrastructure, ensuring reliability and security. 
● Industry Trends: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, particularly in Bitcoin and blockchain, to continually improve system performance and security. 
● Development Collaboration: Collaborate with the development team to integrate Bitcoin-related applications and services, ensuring seamless functionality and performance.
Required Skills: 
● Proficiency with Linux, Mac and Windows operating systems. 
● Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V. 
● Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and security configurations. 
● Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. 
● Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
Preferred Qualifications: 
● Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or similar. 
● Local Knowledge: Understanding of IT infrastructure, support and regulations in Qatar. 
● Language Skills: Proficiency in Arabic. 
Qualifications: 
● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 
● Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in system administration or a similar role.
