Roles & Responsibilities:
• Lead the development of strategic project plans for manufacturing and operational activities,
aligning with the long-term goals of the company.
• Maintain SAP master planning data, Routings and BOM’s
• Calculate order lead times, optimize resource allocation strategies and report on production
capacity.
• Conduct regular project reviews and proactively address project risks.
• Implement advanced scheduling techniques using SAP to enhance efficiency and improve
planning.
• Ensure that technical specifications, quality plans and customer requirements are effectively
incorporated into the planning process.
• Calculate accurate cost estimates for projects, monitor actual costs and initiate cost
improvement projects.
• Ensure the meticulous maintenance of project documentation, including plans, schedules,
resource allocations, and reports.
• Work with Sales team to incorporate forecasts into material planning function.
• Provide mentorship and training to junior planning engineers, conduct knowledge-sharing
sessions, and contribute to the continuous learning culture.
• Ensure HSE compliance and collaborate with HSE team to address and mitigate project-related
safety concerns.
Skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• 8-12 years of experience in planning roles, with 5 years in the Oil & Gas equipment manufacturing
and servicing industry.
• Good understanding of project accounting and cost control processes
• Planning and strategic thinking skills
• Excellent leadership and mentorship abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• In-depth knowledge of engineering principles, industry standards and manufacturing processes
• Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement
• Extensive SAP experience – Super User level
