Job description

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager with a strong background in apparel and clothing garments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the production process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and timely delivery of products. This role requires excellent leadership skills, a deep understanding of garment manufacturing, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement production schedules to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Coordinate with design, purchasing, and logistics departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of raw materials.
• Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes in demand and production capacity.
• Ensure that all products meet the company’s quality standards.
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes to identify and address quality issues.
• Lead, train, and motivate production staff.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback and coaching to team members.
• Ensure a safe and productive work environment by enforcing company policies and health and safety regulations.
• Manage production budgets and control costs.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
• Maintain accurate records of production costs and prepare reports for senior management.
• Oversee inventory levels of raw materials and finished products.
• Coordinate with the purchasing department to ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials.
• Implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste and reduce excess stock.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in garment manufacturing.
• Identify and implement best practices to improve production efficiency and quality.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the production team.

Skills

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Design, Business Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in production management within the apparel and clothing industry.
• Strong understanding of garment manufacturing processes, including cutting, sewing, finishing, and quality control.
• Proven experience in managing production teams and processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in using production management software and other relevant tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
