Primary Duties and Responsibilities
x Monitor, control and report Contractor’s performance, man-power deployment, plant and
equipment’s movements, construction slippages etc.
x Conduct daily and weekly meeting with Contractors involving all discipline supervisors,
QA/QC Inspectors and HSE advisors and address/resolve issues hindering progress.
x Act as the construction Risk Management representative to identify Construction Risk
events, the effects & consequences, propose mitigation measures and take ownership to
ensure mitigation measures have been implemented at site.
Skills
Qualification
x Degree (or) Diploma in mechanical Engineering Discipline with extensive construction
related experience.
Experience
x A minimum of (12) years’ experience in relevant offshore construction and installation
activities in projects of oil & gas industry.
x Experience in and steel structure installation and commissioning of Offshore Projects.
x Good knowledge in piping and mechanical installation and commissioning.
x Good knowledge of lifting activities to assess the lifting plan and lifting operation.
x Experienced in the implementation of construction industry best practices, systems,
processes and standards.
x Understanding of construction techniques for various types of work especially the
construction and commissioning activities in Green, brown fields and Well Head Jackets.
x Good skills in construction management, effective communication, conflict resolution.
x Exposure to works by associated disciplines
x Computer literate. Good communication and writing skills.
x Excellent knowledge of industry engineering standards, quality control, safety and
environmental awareness.
x Excellent ability to interpret and review method statements, lifting plan, inspection and test
plans, construction schedules and drawings.
x Ability to highlight potential bottlenecks/problems and ability to suggest solutions.
x Ability to supervise, cooperate and coordinate with multi-national and multi-cultural
contractor workforce.
