We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tender and Proposal Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the entire tender process, from identifying opportunities to submitting high-quality proposals that align with the company's strategic objectives. This role requires a professional who can coordinate cross-functional teams, ensure compliance with bid requirements, and deliver winning proposals on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Tender Identification and Evaluation:
- Monitor various sources to identify new tender opportunities.
- Evaluate potential tenders and make recommendations on bid/no-bid decisions.
Proposal Development:
- Lead and manage the entire proposal development process.
- Develop comprehensive and compelling proposals that meet client requirements.
- Ensure all proposal content is accurate, compliant, and tailored to the client's needs.
Cross-Functional Coordination:
- Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, finance, legal, and technical departments, to gather necessary information and inputs.
- Facilitate proposal review meetings and ensure timely feedback and approvals.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all proposals comply with client requirements and internal standards.
- Conduct final quality checks to ensure proposals are accurate and professionally presented.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of all tenders, proposals, and related documentation.
- Prepare regular reports on tender activity and outcomes for senior management.
Client Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring satisfaction.
- Provide post-submission support and address any client queries or requests for additional information.
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tender and proposal management.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and proposal management software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
